FAQs

What is cold-processed soap?

Cold-processed soap is made by combining oils and a lye solution without external heat. This process preserves the natural benefits of the ingredients, resulting in a luxurious, skin-friendly soap.

What ingredients are used in your soaps?

We use high-quality natural ingredients, including plant-based oils, butters, essential oils, and skin-safe colorants. Some of our soaps do contain fragrance oils that are diluted for safety.

Is cold-processed soap good for sensitive skin?

It depends! Our soaps are crafted with gentle, nourishing ingredients that can be suitable for sensitive skin. We recommend patch testing to ensure compatibility with your skin as some fragrance or essential oils can irritate those with skin conditions.

How is cold-processed soap different from commercial soaps?

Commercial soaps often contain harsh detergents and chemicals that can strip the skin of its natural oils. Cold-processed soaps retain natural glycerin, which helps to hydrate and protect the skin, making it gentler and more nourishing.

How long does it take to make cold-processed soap?

Cold-processed soap requires a curing time of 4-6 weeks to reach its optimal hardness, lather, and quality. This curing time ensures a mild and long-lasting bar of soap.

How should I store my cold-processed soap?

Store your unused soap in a cool, dry place. For best results, once first used, utilize a draining soap dish to help your soap dry between uses, which can extend its lifespan. On average, a bar can last about 4-6 weeks with regular use, depending on how well it is cared for and stored.

Are your ingredients sourced ethically?

Yes, all our soap ingredients are sourced ethically with no animal testing. Our palm oil is harvested from responsibly managed farms. and USDA certified as sustainably sourced.

Can I use cold-processed soap on my face?

Many of our soaps are gentle enough for facial use. However, we recommend using it on hands and body, as our facial skin is much more sensitive to fragrance or essential oils.

Do you offer custom or bulk orders?

Yes, we can create custom orders for events, gifts, or bulk purchases. Contact us for more details on custom scents, packaging, and pricing.

Why does the soap descriptions say "weight may vary"?

When the soap is cut, we need to shave off noticeable impurities, which can reduce the weight of a bar by a minuscule amount. Bars can vary sometimes by 0.1-0.4 ounces, on either end of the scale. Not every bar is the same!

Are the soaps edible?

Please do not eat the soaps! While they may smell absolutely delectable, they are not edible and can make you sick if consumed! Please keep to external use only.

Are the sugar scrubs edible?

While the sugar scrubs are made from sugar and coconut oil, please do not consume the scrub due to the added colorants and fragrances!
